"Hi-Tech inventions in Ancient Greece. The origins of our modern technology" at Farsala

The exhibition "Hi-Tech inventions in Ancient Greece. The origins of our modern technology" of Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology is being explored in Farsala of the Municipality of Larissa, inviting visitors, to discover the functional inventions of ancient Greece.

In the framework of the 2nd International Scientific Conference of Farsala (07-09/ 02/2018), organized by the Municipality of Farsala and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Larissa, on the subject "The Homeric Achilles: diachronic reflections in art and the secretariat", at the invitation of the Municipality of Farsala and Mr. Mayor, Aris Katohianos, our Museum will present to the public the traveling exhibition "The Hi-Tech Inventions in Ancient Greece - The Origins of Our Modern Technology" from 4 to 17 February at the Cultural Center of Farsala.

The Antikythera calculating mechanism, the static automatic theater of Philon, the automatic servant, the first operating robot of humanity, the hydraulis of Ktesibios, as well as other fully functional inventions of ancient Greek technology, will have the opportunity to meet, admire and process visitors of the exhibition.
