The seat, well you can't have everything but by loosening the straps so the back support is laid back I added several camping pads and a foam pad and it was extremely comfortable. With the maximum capacity of 275 lb (125 kg), Pelican Spirit was not really designed to be packed full of gear. An anchor solves that though. It's durable, easy to clean, it's got everything a beginner needs. No matter where you go, you will always see someone paddling one of them. I stay perfectly dry and never feel wobbly or unsafe. Heat: I've noticed that sometimes heat will contort or alter the bottom of the front or back of the kayak, distorting the bottom until it hits cold water. Don't forget to get some backrest pads you will need them. It was the best investment. It's not a fishing model but I was able to fish from it just fine. There aren't many serious cons to this at all, and some folks might not even consider them cons, especially considering the price (which is a plus!) Light enough for me to get on roof of SUV w/ small ladder. That said I am very happy with the purchase of the Trailblazer 100.
